Four things we do to make our travels a little easier

Make your holiday easier with simple travel tips.

Family is family, and to us, that means travel. Car, plane, train or bus, it isn’t always easy, but with a few simple steps, you can take some of the drudgery out of the experience.

Our number one rule: Always bring a water bottle.  Some might say that it causes for more bathroom breaks, but water will help you stay beautiful inside and out. If you are traveling by plane, pack an empty water bottle, and fill it up at the water fountain after you’ve passed through airport security.  You don’t have to pay for a bottle of water, and you don’t have to throw an empty plastic bottle away!

Keep an apple handy.  Or two or three because you can never count on food being available when you need it. Low in calories, and packed with nutrients, apples are the perfect snack while traveling.  They keep you full and feeling great. Oh, and guess what? They help prevent wrinkles.

Bring a scarf.  Okay, so we know not everyone loves a scarf, but the main idea is to bring something to keep you warm!  They are stylish, practical, and can fit in any size bag without adding extra weight.  Besides, you never know how your travel “neighbor” likes to keep the temperature… it’s always better to be safe than sorry.

Pack magazines or a book.  Whether it be flight delays or traffic jams, holiday travel almost always brings bouts of waiting.  Save your smart phone’s battery and pass the time reading. With that magazine that came in the mail last week that you haven’t had time to browse, or the book that you’ve been meaning to read, you’ll escape the hustle and bustle around you and find some time to relax!
