Simple moves to kick start your workout

“Getting in shape” may be New Year’s most broken resolution. Winter weather makes it hard to get outside and gyms can be inconvenient and expensive. Why not consider working out at home as a way to kick-start your fitness routine?

There are many benefits to working out at home, such as being able to exercise on your own schedule and avoid monthly fees. Some, though, aren’t sure how to get a home fitness routine started. They worry that there may be expensive equipment to buy or that they won’t be able to achieve any results.

Working out at home can be inexpensive and very effective. Take these simple exercises as an example:

Jump rope:
Jumping rope is more than a childhood pastime. It tones your muscles, especially those in your lower body and core, and increases your cardiovascular fitness.
